I hope everyone's doing great. I'm coming at you today with a different kind of post, i. e. beauty-related. People seemed to like the 'Ramadan & Makeup' post, and I like makeup myself, so I might do more of these in the future insh'Allah=)
The following questions are a tag featuring on YazminAkhtaar's blog. I thought it was kind of fun, and a good way of sharing my makeup habits, so there you go!
How many times do you wash your face daily? Twice- morning with water and toner, evening with face wash.
What skin type do you have? I've been told I have combination skin, but my skin is pretty normal, I guess.
What is your current facial wash? Laroche-Posay's soap for dry/sensitive/dehydrated skin.
Do you exfoliate? Yep=)
What brand do you use? Right now, I use Laroche-Posay's face scrub for dry/sensitive skin, but I find it a bit abrasive. I like St Ives' Apricot scrub a lot better.
What moisturizer do you use? Right now, I use Laroche-Posay's mattifying moisturizer mixed with Argan oil for the daytime. At night, I use Shea butter.
Do you have freckles? Nope, but I think they're cute^^
Do you use eye cream? Shea butter's my eye cream -.-
Do you/did you have acne prone skin? No, I did have oilier skin when I was younger though.
Did you ever have to use Pro-activ? No, alhamdulillah!
What foundation do you use? Make Up For Ever's HD foundation in 180 and/or MAC's Studio Fix compact powder in NC45.
How about concealer? Right now I double up foundation as concealer, but otherwise, I like YSL's Touche Eclat.
Do you know your undertone color? Yes, it's gold/yellow.
What do you think of fake eyelashes? I think they're good for a special occasion, but unnecessary for everyday use. They make the eyes extra interesting and cute, if they're not too crazy=)
Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months? Yes, doesn't mean I throw my mascara away every trimester though =p
What brand of mascara do you use? I like Maybelline's Colossal, but I'd like to try the Falsies and Million Lashes mascaras.
Sephora or MAC? I like MAC for foundation and all, but Sephora's good for the variety of brands.
Do you have a MAC Pro-card? Nope.
What makeup tools do you use in make up application? A Sephora dupe for the Beauty Blender, a The Body Shop powder brush, a MAC powder puff, a MAC blush brush.
Do you use a make-up base/primer for the eyes? Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I have such oily lids, eyesshadows wouldn't stay for more than a hour without a primer.
For the face? Nope, no need for it=)
What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)? I like my neutrals, especially the chocolate browns to defne my crease.
Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner? Pencil for a blurry line, liquid for a sharp one.
How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil? I don't anymore, but I used to!
What do you think of pigment eyeshadows? They're great, but they seem like a pain to put on.
Do you use mineral makeup? No.
What is your favorite lipstick? I don't have a favourite, I'm more into lipglosses.
How about lipgloss? There's one from Sephora that I like, but I forgot the name of it...
What is your favorite blush to use? I don't have a favorite blush.
Do you buy your makeup on Ebay? No, that's too risky for me, I'd rather go and buy it at the store, where I can make sure it's properly packed and the lid is still on!
Do you like drugstore makeup? Yes, I think it's great that everyone can have access to affordable beauty products, etc. Unfortunately, we don't have as large a selection in France when it comes to drugstore products, but we still have a few good things=)
Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)? No, I'm not a huge makeup buyer.
Did you ever consider taking make-up classes? No, I think YouTube's good enough, and I'm not that much into makeup.
Are you clumsy in putting on makeup? I am when I'm running late, that is, most of the time.
Name a makeup crime that you hate. There's a few: too light/dark foundation, drawn-on eyebrows, black lip pencil OVER red lipstick, all kinds of over-the-top makeup...
Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick and eyeshadow) or neutral ones? I'm a neutral kinda chick=)
Which celebrity always has great make up? Kim Kardashian. Her makeup is always on point!
If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use? Concealer.
Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on? Of course! Even when my skin doesn't look that good.
Do you think you look good even without any makeup on? Yes -- thank God LOL
What do you think of makeup? I think it's a great way to enhance your features, while concealing the 'flaws', even though it shouldn't be used to turn oneself into a totally different person. I like it, it's fun to me^^

I agree...Kim Kardashian's makeup is always flawless, blended, and amazing!
LOL now you know I have oily eyelids hehe.
And KK's makeup is always on point, it's insane! But she knows as soon as she steps out the door, she'll have 1,000 paparazzi harassing her, so she'd better loook good!
